Adult Sports Free Agent FAQ

The City of Hillsboro Adult Sports programs often receive inquiries from individuals interested in participating in our leagues. However, we only process team registrations for our Adult Sports Leagues. If you are interested in participating but do not yet have a team, please complete this digital Free Agent Sign Up form. This will allow teams who are in need of players to contact potential new teammates to join them, but does not guarantee an individual will be picked up by a team.

How do I sign up as a Free Agent?

Fill out the free agent form (https://cityofhillsboro.teamsidelinesite.com/free-agent-sign-up) with all pertinent contact, position, and experience information. The information you provide will assist teams in their player recruitment based on their specific team needs.

Are there any fees to sign up as a Free Agent?

No, there are no fees unless you are recruited by a team. Once recruited, your individual fees will be determined by your team based on the league fee they split amongst players and potential uniform fees. Your fees will be paid directly to your team manager, not Hillsboro Parks & Recreation.

What do I do once I’ve signed up as a Free Agent?

There is nothing left to do once you have signed up. If teams need players, they will request the free agent list to recruit from based on their team needs in terms of position, experience, etc. (signing up as a free agent does not guarantee recruitment).

Can I sign up as a Free Agent for more than one sport/league?

Yes, you can sign up for more than one sport, but you will need to submit a free agent request for each sport/league.

What is the best way to join the adult sports leagues?

Registering a team is the best way to join the adult sports league. (Space is limited and teams are encouraged to register early in the process to secure a spot).

I’m new to the community, how do I get connected with the leagues and teams?

Individuals looking to connect with existing teams can go out to the leagues and meet players. League schedules are posted on TeamSideline at: https://cityofhillsboro.teamsidelinesite.com/schedules
